The Wyoming House for Historic Women

The Wyoming House for Historic Women in downtown Laramie, Wyo. honors Louisa Swain of Laramie and 12 other historic women of Wyoming. Swain in March 1870 was the first woman in the world to cast a ballot under laws giving women and men equal voting rights. The house, at 307 2nd Street, is open in the summer from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $2.50 for adults, $1.00 for students.
