Robin Everett

Robin Everett works as a processing archivist at Wyoming State Archives. Born and raised in Wheatland, she later spent 40 years in Colorado before returning to Cheyenne in 1998, where she retired from AT&T in 2001. Afterward, she got a BA in history at the University of Wyoming and went to work at the archives in 2005.

Thirteen hours before killer “Tricky” Riggle’s death sentence was to be carried out, Gov. Milward Simpson commuted his punishment to life in prison. Simpson family members later maintained that this cost the governor his second term, but other controversial stands—on gambling and the route of the new I-90—probably hurt him more.
