Tom Rea is the editor of WyoHistory.org. After many years as a reporter and editor on the daily Casper Star-Tribune, he left the paper to write books and work on projects like this one. His books include Bone Wars: The Excavation and Celebrity of Andrew Carnegie’s Dinosaur (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2001, 2004); Devil’s Gate: Owning the Land, Owning the Story (University of Oklahoma Press, 2006, 2012); The Hole in the Wall Ranch: A History (Pronghorn Press, 2010). He lives with his family in Casper, Wyoming.
The Casper College Western History Center, located in the Goodstein Library at Casper College, 125 College Drive, in Casper, Wyo., contains an excellent collection of photo and archival materials on local and regional history. The center has an extensive collection of material connected to the cattle business in central Wyoming.
